The mood booster matcha

I know that I shall never prune a tree in the wintertime and never make my most important decisions when I’m in my worst mood. I must wait. Be patient. Cause I know that the storm will pass and the spring will come. But sometimes I just have to stress it a little bit and create my own sunshine, so that’s what I’m doing today. Starting with this green chiasmoothie. I don’t think it was a bad decision and guess what, spring showed up in the middle of it… πŸ˜˜πŸŒΈπŸ’š

I’ve heard that many dedicated coffee lovers are ditching java in favor of matcha. Matcha is packed with a mega dose of antioxidants and the green powder is supposed to rev up your mood. Matcha literally means “powdered tea”, but since I’m not a fan of hot beverages (I know, I know I’m crazy and probably the only one) I put it in my frozen smoothies instead, today along with some chia seeds. Remember learning about fibre as a kid? Well, chia seeds are loaded with it, along with essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. I like them a lot! Almost as much as oats. 😘


  • 2 dl vanilla yofu
  • 1 scoop Forever Ultra vanilla
  • 100 g frozen banana
  • 2 spoons chia seeds
  • 1 tsp matcha

Top it up with some more yofu, herbs and blueberries.
